- John C. Person -

John C. Person graduated from the University of Michigan in 1974, with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He received his master's degree in Civil Engineering in 1980, and his law degree in 1983, from the University of Michigan. Mr. Person is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the United States Court of Federal Claims. Mr. Person is a Registered Professional Engineer (Michigan, Virginia), and is a member of the National Panel of Construction Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association, and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He also is a member of the American Bar Association, including its Section of Public Contract Law and the Forum Committee on the Construction Industry. Mr. Person holds a top secret security clearance.

Mr. Person has lectured and presented many papers in a number of professional forums in his areas of expertise, and has written widely on construction law, regulation of power generation and hazardous waste cleanup contracting topics. With respect to Government contract and cost issues, Mr. Person regularly teaches a course (twice yearly) on pricing of claims that is taught mainly from a Government contracting perspective (Federal Publication Seminars, Inc.). Mr. Person has also taught courses that focused on Government contract compliance and multiple award task order contracting issues. Most recently, Mr. Person has led seminars before Government contracts professionals on "Incentives for Performance-Based Contracts;" "The Masters Institute in Government Contracts;" and "Cost and Price Analysis." In the fall of 2001, he authored the Government contract Briefing Paper entitled "Deductive Changes," published by the West Group.
